The US created 242,000 new jobs in February - much higher than the 195,000 estimate. The unemployment rate held at 4.9% even though average earnings fell slightly. There was also an upward revision for December and January jobs' data.

Saxo's Head of Macro Strategy, Mads Koefoed, says the number makes a mockery of those who've been talking of an impending US recession. But despite the strong jobs' report, he explains why he doesn't believe it will lead to a March interest rate hike by the US Federal Reserve.
