Kay Van-Petersen, global macro strategist at Saxo Capital Markets, looks at this week’s economic calendar - including three central bank meetings in Asia.

The Bank of Thailand, the Central Bank of the Philippines and the Bank of Korea will discuss their countries’ economies while in Europe, the Bank of England as well as Norway’s central bank also meet.

Meanwhile, new data releases show that UK inflation rose to 0.5% in March but momentum has been lost on economic growth. UK manufacturing PMI fell from 50.7 in March to 49.2 in April.

Some half dozen Federal Reserve members will be speaking at various events and we’ll also hear from the Bank of Japan's governor, Haruhiko Kuroda on Friday.
