Saxo Bank Chief Economist Steen Jakobsen looks back at 2014 with Tradingfloor.com's 'Outrageous Predictions' in mind. For example; low oil prices, deflation and the threat of a German recession were once deemed outrageous to predict but have now become the realistic background to the investment landscape.
Steen talks us through his assessment of trading conditions: "We leave 2014 with probably near perfect conditions for doing nothing except just sit back and be long on risky assets as the central banks take turns to boost morale..." and outlines his positioning for the year ahead.

Steen's outrageous prediction of his own? Extreme volatility in 2015, as a mean reversal takes hold of the markets and bites down "deeper and deeper".
